Lockdown Stories
When COVID-19 broke out, I went to Karachi and volunteered for Akhuwat Foundation in their fundraising campaign for daily wage workers who had been economically devastated due to the lockdown. I documented accounts of daily wagers in the form of photo stories and videos that were used for the campaign which generated over 1.4 million USD. The funds were used to provide free meals, ration packs, and to give zero-interest microfinance loans to the most vulnerable segment of the society.
